This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to manage operational strategies in achieving the short and long term goals of a power generation facility's production plant.
An operational plan of action describes how a power generation facility will employ their resources in producing power. Operational strategiesare the methods used to reach objectives and performance targets related to resources, personnel and the work processes outlined in the operationalplan.
Competency in this unit requires the ability to identify long and short term strategies, implement and manage strategies and report outcomes of strategies. Individuals will, in general, work as an operator with responsibility for operational strategies, in a power generation facility.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
